Wrapping up the 2nd General Assembly of the Center

On 26–27 August 2025, the Smart Exploration Research Center (SERC) held its second General Assembly, this time at Epiroc's facilities in Örebro!

During the days, presentations were held from the Centre's research hubs, which included new technologies for sustainable exploration, data modelling, secondary resources and geometallurgy. Mining and technology companies, as well as our Friends of the Center, also presented their challenges and needs which we're discussed more as part of a workshop.
The international Advisory Board members provided critical feedback on our progress and suggestions for staying a cutting-edge research center. And finally, a strong showing of Young Professionals had a chance to pitch their research in rapid-fire style presentations and poster sessions to follow.
